Before the singles embark on their dream journey, it’s time to meet their potential dates. They do this by means of a speed date, which they can each fill in their own way.
During his dream trip to southern England, 61-year-old Bart hopes to find the love that can enrich his life with ‘affection and passion’. He starts his adventure at his home in Tilburg. In his garage he organizes a high tea and high wine for the eight ladies who have aroused his interest. One of these ladies is influencer Irma Knol.
During the speed dates Bart takes the ladies to chat with him on the couch for five minutes. Irma Knol is the last to join and she immediately manages to attract his attention. The influencer has brought a photo frame with her characteristic text: ‘So many likes, when all you need is love’. Bart just has no idea that Irma is a real celebrity in the Netherlands.
That shocks Irma; after all, this is her job. On the other hand, she is happy, because she knows that it is not about Bart fame is to do. “So it’s really about me and not because I happen to be Irma Knol who has a lot of followers on social media,” she says in front of the cameras.
There is an immediate click between the two, after which Bart decides to take Irma on a trip. Yoga teacher Michelle and the enterprising sports fanatic Ineke are also chosen by Bart to pack their bags for the trip through England.
A few days later, Bart meets his dates again in the harbor of Hoek van Holland, where they take the boat to England together. The first to arrive is Irma, dropped off by her well-known son Milan Knol, who does not recognize Bart either. Many followers or not, it doesn’t seem to matter to Bart and Irma. There is even a careful spark.
When the other ladies have arrived, they take the ferry to Harwich, England, where their dating adventure really begins. During a hearty English breakfast, the ladies get to know Bart better. Who will eventually win his heart?
