Finding a job is difficult, basic necessities are expensive, mortgages want to go up, fate…

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia Various challenges that hit in 2022 began to have an impact on the rooms, dining tables, and household kitchens. Yes, people’s confidence in the economy is starting to erode.

This is reflected in the Consumer Survey conducted by Bank Indonesia (BI). As a result, the Consumer Confidence Index (IKK) in March 2022 was at 111.

IKK uses the number 100 as a starting point. If it is still above 100, it means that consumers are still confident in viewing the economy.

However, there is a tendency for that belief to fade. Because in February 2022, the IKK was recorded at 113.1.

“The March 2022 CPI, which was not as high as the previous month, was due to more limited expectations of future economic conditions, as indicated by the Consumer Expectation Index (CEI) of 128.1, slightly slower than 130.8 in the previous month. Likewise, the Current Economic Conditions Index (CPI) ( IKE) March 2022 which was recorded at 93.9, slightly moderated from the previous month of 95.5.

“On a quarterly basis, the average CPI in the first quarter of 2022 is still in the optimistic area with an index of 114.6, although it has decreased slightly compared to 116.7 in the fourth quarter of 2021,” said the BI report.
