While the first round of the legislative elections will take place this Sunday, June 12, Lyon Capital helps you find out in which constituency your municipality is located and which candidate is applying there with its interactive maps.

A little less than two months after the re-election of Emmanuel Macron as head of France, voters in the Rhône department and the metropolis of Lyon are being called to the polls on Sunday June 12 and 19 to elect their deputies for the next five years. In the Rhône, 14 seats are at stake. The department is divided into fourteen constituencies which correspond to territories of approximately 120,000 to 150,000 inhabitants. If in urban areas, the constituencies are quite tight, in rural areas, they can cover a very large area.

An obscure division

This division is often obscure for voters. In Lyon, arrondissements straddle several constituencies. The 8th is divided into three (1st, 3rd and 4th). The city of Saint-Priest is cut in two (13th and 14th) after electoral tampering at the end of the 2010s. Compared to 2017, it has not changed. But in the meantime, the metropolitan elections have been added which have created new constituencies which, to make matters more complex, do not follow the perimeter of the legislative constituencies.
