NEW YORK – Authorities searched for a few hours for two minors who allegedly drove a car apparently from Queens to the Delaware-New Jersey border, where they were found, New York Police announced.
The children were reportedly at a rest stop at the New Jersey / Delaware border when they tried to use a credit card and were found that way, police said.
The NYPD says children are safe on that border, but they don’t say where or who has them.
According to the report, authorities received the call about a stolen car in Queens around 10:00 am on Monday, and apparently a camera captured the moment when two cousins, a 12-year-old boy and a 7-year-old girl , jumped on the bandwagon at a residence in this county.
It is not clear why the children took the car.
The car was described as a white Range Rover.
The case is still under investigationn.
