Find these 100 lire and earn €2,490: here’s what. PHOTO

In the period of the transition to the current EURmany have kept the old coins, certainly including the much loved ones 100 lireand it is possible that now, having become rare coins, they are worth a real fortune.
This is an Acmonital coin, which was minted from 1955 until 1989, and is known by collectors as ‘100 lire Minerva‘.

The diameter of this coin is 27.8 mm, while the weight is 8 grams, has a striped outline and has a thickness of 2 mm. On the obverse is the head of Italia wearing a laurel wreath, while on the reverse there is Minervaa deity represented meanwhile holding a spear.

Let’s see which 100 Lire coin is worth more.
The 100 lire coin Minerva which today acquires more value is that ‘trial‘ of 1954 for two reasons: both because it is the oldest, and because it is a proof that it was, therefore, minted in a small number of specimens. The value of this currency, if it were in FDCit can go up to 3,000 euros and is classified as R3 rare coin.

To understand the value of rare coins, however, it is necessary to know their state of conservation according to the classification adopted, as the differences can be really substantial.
Here are the categories:
b = Beautiful: that smooth and difficult to read coin with reliefs that keep only 2 or 3/10 of metal.
MB = Very Beautiful: worn coin with only some legible parts and reliefs that keep 4 or 5/10 of metal.
BB = Very beautiful: legible and whole coin that may have some hits, with reliefs that preserve 6, 7/10 of metal.

SPL = Gorgeous: That coin that has light circulation marks and sharp relief that retains 8 to 9/10 of metal.
FDC = Brilliant Uncirculated: the best, coin that does not bear any sign of circulation, which does not show wear and whose reliefs retain 10/10 of metal.
Year after year, the 100 lire Minerva are increasingly considered rare coins: but how much are they worth?

And here is more specifically the value of the 100 lire Minerva coins.
Clearly the one that acquires greater value is the version of proof of 1954 which, as already mentioned, in FDC, is worth more 3000 euros.

The 1955 coin, if in BU or BB, can be worth up to 900 euros; that of 1963, even if in BU, is worth just 5 euros, instead that of 1967, is worth 40 euros, if in a state of conservation BU.
For all other years the coins from 100 lire they are only worth between 2 and 4 euros.
