This trend is repeated in the restricted or pay television signal, that is, Las Estrellas occupies the first place and is followed by Channel 5, despite the immense offer that exists in this private modality.
Even if the children’s segment is considered, Channel 5 is one of the favorites for girls and boys, both on open and restricted television.
The information released by the regulator highlights that in recent months the audience for educational content has also increased, a segment that ranked third in the most viewed content on both television modes.
This last factor is explained by the alliance reached between the Federal Government and the main television stations in the country, which allowed the program “Aprende en Casa” to become one of the most viewed signals among Mexican infants.
Thus, 19 percent of that segment of the population consumed the contents of said educational program in open signal; In particular, the first place of preferences was also taken by Televisa, through Channel 5.
