Corinthians won 14 titles since the reactivation of the club’s women’s football in 2016. But in addition, this victorious era also yielded some revenue from awards to the alvinegro club.
At least R$ 2,940,500 were raised with the modality in the period. The value includes the prizes obtained with the achievements of the 2023 Super Cup; Brazilians 2022, 2021 and 2020; Paulistas 2021 and 2020; and Libertadores 2021 and 2019 – see exact amount per title below.
The calculation of my helm, however, does not count the titles of the Copa Paulista 2022, Brasileiro 2018, Libertadores 2017 and Copa do Brasil 2016, as these values were not found. The 2022 Super Cup and the 2019 Paulista did not have financial bonuses and, therefore, are not included in the sum.
This year, Corinthians can still receive even more revenue with awards in the modality. Champion of the Women’s Super Cup last Sunday, the team still has three other competitions ahead of them in 2023: Brasileiro, Paulista and Libertadores. The continental tournament, for example, will 1.7 million dollars to the winner, around BRL 8.5 million.
