A source at Al-Ahly Club has revealed the period of absence of red team player Taher Mohamed Taher after injuring his inner knee ligament on the sidelines of his team’s training session.
The source confirmed that Taher Taher will be absent from Al-Ahly for two to three weeks before returning to participate in his team’s collective training, before announcing his willingness to participate in official matches.
Dr. Ahmed Abu Abla, the Al-Ahly Club’s first team football doctor, said in statements to the official website that Taher Mohamed Taher, the player of the team, underwent x-rays and a medical, during which it was revealed that he had a dislocated inner knee ligament.
The source added that the player missed the team’s group training today, in preparation to undergo a rehabilitation program to recover from the injury and return to participating in the team’s group training soon.
Al-Ahly resumed its training this Monday morning at Al-Jazeera’s touch stadium after the rest the team got yesterday for a 24-hour period.
Al-Ahly had defeated Talaea El-Jaish, 1/2, in the match that took place last Friday evening, in the fifth round of the Egyptian Professional Clubs League.
Al-Ahly top the Premier League table with 12 points, reaching the top honors after defeating Ismaili, Aswan, Al-Dakhiliyah and Tala’a Al-Jaish.
Al-Ahly is preparing to face Ghazl El-Mahalla’s team in its stadium, scheduled for the day after tomorrow, Wednesday, as part of the Egyptian Club League competitions.
