“Find Open Vaccination Centers This Sunday for Influenza and Covid-19 Immunization – Winter 2023 Campaign”

The Ministry of Health recalls that its vaccination campaign against influenza and Covid-19 is still in force this Sunday in various centers in Asunción enabled for it. Meanwhile, only some will apply the vaccines until the night of this day.

In this sense, in the Shopping del Sol and in the Mariscal Shopping, the immunization, which began at 10:00, will continue until 20:00, while in the San Pablo General Maternal and Child Hospital it will be until 17:00 , as well as in the General Hospital of Barrio Obrero and the Regional Vaccination Center, located on Brasil and Fulgencio R. Moreno.

Likewise, the Maternal and Child Hospital of Loma Pytá and the Maternal and Child Hospital of Trinidad will also carry out the immunization until 5:00 p.m. this afternoon.

In each of the aforementioned centers, the quadrivalent vaccines against influenza are applied, in children from 6 months onwards, and the bivalent one against the coronavirus, for children from 5 years and older.

The regular program includes children, adolescents, adults and pregnant women and both mentioned doses can be applied at the same time.

The pneumococcal vaccine is not available at the moment and only this last Friday, Health had acknowledged that it still does not have a precise date for the arrival of more Neumo23 vaccines, aimed at older adults, from 60 years of age, who they have not received any doses in the last five years.

With the “Winter 2023” campaign, the Ministry of Health seeks that citizens be prepared for the low temperatures that generally trigger greater respiratory conditions.

The health authorities indicated days ago that, in the event of presenting a picture of Covid-19, influenza or acute illness, such as respiratory symptoms or with fever, it is advisable to wait until you recover to access the dose.

Meanwhile, in case of suffering from an arbovirosis, such as dengue or chikungunya, it is suggested to get vaccinated up to a month after the symptoms of said diseases began.

Through Telefuturo, professionals stationed at the San Pablo Hospital highlighted the significant number of people who have already been vaccinated during the campaign, but recalled that to access the vaccines they must have their vaccination certificate.
