Tragedy almost occurred yesterday morning during a routine exercise at the Company from the Financial Police Of Scafati. During shooting training, in fact, a military was accidentally hit by a gunshotstarted by mistake from a gun handled by an instructor. The accident occurred at the end of the exercise, while the instructor was busy answering a technical question from a colleague. According to an initial reconstruction, carried out by the leaders of the Salerno provincial commandthe instructor, to better explain the required procedure, took out the gun, forgetting however that the weapon was loaded due to an inadvertent insertion of the magazine. While carrying out the demonstration, a shot was accidentally fired which injured the soldier who was assisting.
The panic
Immediately, panic broke out among those present, with the staff providing assistance on the spot and then accompanying the injured person to the emergency hospital in Lower Nocera. Fortunately, doctors quickly averted the life-threatening situation. The bullet grazed a delicate area, fortunately without causing irreparable damage. The patient, as a precaution, was transferred to the ward Urology of the Nocerino hospital for an in-depth examination, useful for assessing the actual extent of the injuries. According to medical sources, further tests are expected, but the outcome could be more positive than initially feared.
