Financial Times: Warner Bros. is considering selling its gaming division

Authoritative publication Financial Times (FT) reported that the company Warner Bros. is considering selling some of its divisions.

According to FT, in this way the company is trying to stop the fall in shares and they believe that this will help to avoid the bankruptcy of the studio, which could lead to a lawsuit effect from investors on debt obligations.

Before that, the studio planned to share the streaming service HBOstudio Warner Bros. and channel CNN, into separate companies, but according to the FT source, such a division looked certain on paper, but would create real operational problems: negotiating sports rights deals, determining what which will be broadcast on TV and what will be broadcast on streaming. It would also complicate the use of Warner content across multiple platforms.

So Warner Bros. proposals to sell the Polish television company are now being seriously considered TVN and involved in its gaming division, which has valuable intellectual property across a number of well-known IPs. Now Warner Bros. owns the rights to games based on Harry Potter, the DC universe (including the Batman Arkham series), Mad Max, Mortal Kombat, Middle-Earth and several other famous rights.
