Companies that generate between at least 30 and 50 percent of their turnover in the hotel and catering sector can receive the state’s Corona stabilization aid. A new funding level has now been introduced for this aid, originally planned exclusively for the hotel and restaurant industry: Affected craft businesses – for example bakeries with an attached café or butchers with catering service – receive a one-off liquidity aid of up to for a period of three months 2000 euros plus 1000 euros for each full-time employee.
Mainly bakers and butchers affected
“In our chamber area, this mainly affects bakers, confectioners, butchers and brewers,” says Dr. Tobias Mehlich, General Manager of the Ulm Chamber of Crafts. In the district of Heidenheim, 27 bakers, 6 confectioners, 46 butchers and 3 brewers and maltsters enrich the social and economic life. The companies concerned can apply for help through their tax advisor, lawyer, auditor or sworn accountant.
“Many of the businesses that are now affected have already been massively affected by the first lockdown in spring,” Mehlich continued. The reserves are often largely used up. The planned bridging and stabilization aids could help cushion the worst. “But the help is also urgently needed. That’s why they have to arrive at the factories very quickly, ”says Mehlich.
What needs to be considered when applying for stabilization aid:
The funding period must not overlap with the period in which a company has already received emergency aid. In addition, companies should prepare a liquidity calculation for the funding period. The information in the liquidity calculation must be checked and certified by a person authorized in accordance with Section 3 of the Tax Advisors Act.
