The presence of the Wuling electric car to the Indonesian market is getting closer. Most recently, they presented the Wuling Hongguang EV Macaron at the Wuling Center launch event on Wednesday (27/10/21) in Jakarta. How does it look and what does this cheap electric car look like? There are two Wuling Hongguang EV Macarons that are present at the Wuling Center Jakarta, one is yellow or lemon yellow and white and also pink or white peach powder fight white. Both still use the left-hand drive configuration.

Exterior Design
This Wuling Hongguang EV Macaron looks very compact. On paper, the length is only 2,920 mm, meaning this car is about 72 cm more compact than the Honda Brio. As for the width, the Hongguang EV Macaron is recorded at 1,493 mm and the height is only 1,621 mm.
From the front, the Wuling Hongguang EV looks like an electric car that doesn’t use a grille. His face looks flat with a black chrome panel aka piano black which is clamped by two headlamps. In the middle, the Wuling logo can be opened for access to the charging port.
Slide to the side, the cute impression is clearly felt. Apart from having only two doors, aka coupe, this car also uses small legs. The rims use ring 12 rims wrapped in 145/70 tires.
While the rear view, this Wuling Hongguang EV Macaron comes with a broken or square design. The design of the taillights matches the design of the headlights and there is also a black panel that says ‘Wuling’.

The rear glass can be opened to access the trunk. However, in the open rear seat, the trunk is very small. If you need a spacious trunk, then inevitably the back seat must be folded.
Design interior
Entering the cabin of this tiny car, the word that immediately comes to mind is ‘simple’. The seats are covered with a gray fabric-like material with a color combination that matches the body.
As for the dashboard, it looks very minimalist. There is only a long transverse AC grille and a hazard button located close to the steering wheel. For the AC setting, it still uses a knob that can be rotated, there are three of them, and the design is very simple. While next to it, there is a headunit that can be connected with a USB connection.

The shifter from Wuling Hongguang EV is stored in the middle, between the driver and front passenger seats. It’s very simple in design and shape, only the rotary knob reads D, N, R and the cas symbol. In addition, there is also a window up and down button near the shifter.
The second row of seats feels compact and for me who is 175 cm tall, it’s not comfortable to sit for long. Indeed, this car is suitable for driving in urban areas, where each trip does not take long.
In our opinion, this second row of seats can only be filled by two adults.
In general, this car comes with a very attractive design. It looks cute, reinforces the concept as an urban electric car. In our opinion, the Wuling Hongguang EV Macaron will be suitable for young people to use in big cities that are densely packed with vehicles and difficult to find parking. Or for a small family, it’s still okay. As long as you want to compromise with a compact space.
