Finally we know when ‘Lord of the Rings’-esque ‘The Wheel of Time’ will be on Amazon Prime Video

Amazon Prime Video will be investing heavily in fantasy in the coming years, including The Wheel of Time!

We already knew that Amazon Prime Video wanted to come this year with The Wheel of Time. And now we know when: the series kicks off in November.

Amazon made the announcement after its Comic-Con @ Home panel this afternoon. Immediately afterwards, a poster was released, stating that the series will be shown in the course of November. Unfortunately, there is no exact date yet.

epic series

The epic series is already filming, showing that Amazon is confident it can be a hit.

That’s not surprising given the popularity of the source material, which comes from Robert Jordan and (after his death) Brandon Sanderson. The series is set in an epic world where magic exists and only certain women are allowed to use it.

The series follows Moiraine, a member of an incredibly powerful women-only organization called the Aes Sedai, as she arrives in the small village of Two Rivers. From there, she sets off on a perilous journey with five young men and women, one of whom will be the Dragon Reborn. It will save humanity, or will destroy it.

That promises something for the series. Below the poster:
