Finally, the ‘real’ Land Rover is back!

Let those who deplore the gentrification of the versions of the new Defender available until then rejoice: the worthy descendants of the “real” Land Rover are coming!

Land Rover has just unveiled the utility variants of its new Defender. Declinations which try to remain faithful to the spirit of origin of the model with an obstructed quarter glass and a contrasting color roof which recall the hard-top of the old models. It is also this name dear to enthusiasts of old Land that newcomers take up.

Available in short (90) and long (110) bodywork, the Land Rover Hard Top intend to multiply winks to the past, with in particular unpainted painted sheet metal rims, simplified shields and, as detailed above, a painting to simulate the famous roof of models from the 50s

However, there is no question of talking about a rustic version, since these utilities can receive the same equipment as their civilian counterparts, starting with the latest multimedia system or remote updates. Professionals could however be more interested in the Advanced Tow Assist, which allows maneuvering with a trailer via a wheel on the dashboard, or the Terrain Response 2 to tackle the most difficult to access areas.
