Finally, skier Frida Karlsson can train without injuries

The recharging for the important Olympic season 2021/22 has already begun. After bare-ground training, the skiers have in the last week felt real snow on a glacier in France.

Frida Karlsson feels happy when she travels around French Tignes. She has found a solution to the problem that at times made her skiing more painful than pleasurable.

It’s about the feet.

At the end of last season told Frida Karlsson about her foot problems which posed problems for her entire skiing venture. Since then, great focus has been on Frida Karlsson’s feet and between two training sessions in France, she talks about the results:

– It’s going very well. I have arranged good boots, good soles and work super hard with rehab. Now I’m going to keep it good.

Frida Karlsson talks about how the rest of the body reacted:

– I have always struggled with small defects and it has rarely been peace and joy with me. But now I notice that my whole being has become fresher.

This means that a disturbance has disappeared for the ski star.

– I did not know, until recently, that all the injuries I had come from my feet. Now it feels positive to know the origin problem.

Therefore, she has got a perfect start to the pre-season training.

– Now I can do much better in training compared to before, says Frida Karlsson.

It is certainly an extra security for Frida Karlsson, who is now going through a high-altitude recharging before the Olympics in Beijing – part of her skiing career she has no experience of. Training at high altitude increases oxygen uptake and provides advantages in competitions even at sea level.

Frida Karlsson, who is known for investing hard from the beginning in her competitions, has learned to be careful in training.

– It is easy to go on too hard in the beginning at the height and thus get a bang. But I am confident in my approach and have a coach (Per Nilsson) who has had a lot of experience of high-altitude training. In addition, I have always been curious about it, says Frida Karlsson.
