If you regularly print from your iPhone or iPad, iOS 15 on iPadOS 15 offer major noticeable improvements. Apple has enriched the print panel for AirPrint printers with a lot more settings, making it almost (but not quite) as complete as it is on macOS.
From most modern printers support AirPrint and let you print from an iPhone or iPad without the hassle. The settings have been rather limited so far, but iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 bring changes to that. You can now adjust the rotation of pages and choose the print quality and paper type.
New Printer Options iOS 15 and iPadOS 15
The new options are present in both iOS 15 and iPadOS 15. Where in iOS 14 and earlier you can only choose pages and indicate whether you want to print in color / black and white and double-sided, there are a lot more options in iOS 15 and iPadOS. Starting with you can now choose whether you want to print a page in horizontal or vertical orientation. In addition, it is possible to specify a paper size and a tray. The latter option is not visible in the screenshots below, because the printer used has only one drawer.

There is also an extra menu called Media and quality where you can indicate what type of paper is in the printer and what the print quality can be. This makes it easier to save ink on a test print (set the quality to Concept). You can now also print serious photos by setting the media type on thick photo paper and the quality at maximum.

Almost like in macOS
Almost all of the printing options offered on the Mac are now available on iPhone and iPad as well. However, the macOS print module is a little bit more comprehensive. For example, you can add headers there and print multiple pages on one sheet of paper.
