Amy Jade Winehouse was born on 14 September 1983 in Southgate into a Jewish family. The parents of the future artist had nothing to do with her creativity, but her father was fond of jazz and bought important records for himself at home. So, at night, Amy often listened to her father’s performance of Frank Sinatra compositions. But on my mother’s side, Winehouse had relatives who were professionally involved in music. So Amy’s attraction to this area surprised no one.
Despite the fact that jazz was respected in the family, Winehouse herself fell in love with the hip-hop and r&b genres already at the creative children’s school – these musical directions literally took possession of the girl who grew up as a hooligan. In 2003, she released her debut album, dedicated to her beloved Frank Sinatra. In just one year, the collection went platinum. Both critics and audiences raved about the rising star’s style.
However, as often happens in these stories, Amy quickly became acquainted with the main vices of her new lifestyle: alcohol and illegal substances. Winehouse’s behavior has become a real gift for Western tabloids. They savored every new scandal involving a talented singer. And Amy didn’t stop, continuing to destroy herself.
The singer got addicted to drugs because of her husband. Blake Fielder-Civil later admitted that he considered this to be her main mistake. Her parents tried to save Amy, sent her to the clinic, but everything was in vain. Winehouse enjoyed a wild lifestyle and didn’t even want to leave her consummate spouse. At the same time, she dreamed of having children from Blake.

The European tour has been cancelled. But in her native UK, Amy decided to give a concert that, as it turned out a few days later, would be her last of her life.
