The Mavs are not doing very well, we told you this morning. Well, to try to give some energy to Jason Kidd’s group, the Dallas franchise has decided to recall a former All-Star: Mr. Kemba Walker is back!
Kemba, holy Kemba, you’re back!
It had been almost a year since we had seen Walker play in an official game, his last appearance was in mid-February with the Knicks. A symbol of the sad fall of the top scorer in the history of the Hornets, who hasn’t been able to find his stellar form since he left Charlotte. Slightly missed pass in Boston, timid attempt in New York to be beaten by the Thunder, Kemba was then transferred to Detroit during the last Draft… in complete anonymity.
We had therefore little news for several weeks, apart from a potential purchase of the Pistons to set him free. And we were just wondering where he would land?
Released, Kemba Walker waited his turn and so was Marc Stein’s New York Times who sent the Good news of this beginning of the week for the planet NBA.
The Mavericks are closing in on a deal to sign former All-Star guard Kemba Walker, league sources tell me.

Good or bad choice of the Mavs? One thing is for sure, Luka Doncic needs some creative help and bringing in a veteran Kemba Walker off the bench shouldn’t hurt. Big uncertainties about his health, his knees and his defense of course, but when we see the poverty offered by Dallas in the moments where Luka is not a superhero and Spencer Dinwiddie comes back down to earth … you have to feel something!
At 31 Kemba Walker will try to recover after 3 very difficult years, passing from 25 to 11 points on averageand from All-Star status to Christmas Rookie of the Month.
As a famous journalist would say, in any case we wish him.
