In the absence of Tyler Herro, injured, it was Victor Oladipo who played the match. 26 points at 7/10 shooting including 4/6 from afar for the back, who simply delivered his best performance of the season in scoring. Defensively, he also brought his stone to the building and he made his show with some classy actions like his two buzzer beaters at the end of the quarter to put a blow on the head of Phoenix.

So obviously everything was not perfect (he also lost 5 balls) but we see that on the recent series of Miami (3 wins in 4 games), Toto meets expectations rather well. His stats on the four games in question? 19 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, 52% shooting including 46% from afar. It’s clean and that’s clearly what Miami needs this year. With the arrival of Tyler Herro in the starting lineup, the Heat lost that strike force that drove their bench last season. While the South Beach players had the best second unit in 2021-22, they are currently 29th… Only Portland is doing worse.
A Dipo in good shape is the assurance of being able to count on a quality leader to animate this group of substitutes and relieve the starters a little. It remains to be seen now if the player is able to continue over time. Injuries plagued his start to the season, sidelining him until early December, and he has struggled to find his rhythm ever since.
