The 84 finalist teams of the bank management game “Schulbanker” have been determined. A total of 2,472 schoolchildren took part in the bank association’s business game this year. For the first time since 2019, the award ceremony will take place in person. Since November, the girls and boys have been the heads of their own virtual banks: they have analyzed balance sheets, checked liquidity and interest margins, granted loans, put together blocks of shares and issued green bonds.
Run your own virtual bank
“More than 2,000 schoolchildren have managed their own virtual bank over the last few months with fun, team spirit and foresight. They have gained valuable experience by following stock prices, setting interest rates and making loans. The young people were able to experience business in a practical way in our “School Bankers” project. We look forward to welcoming the almost 100 best-placed participants to the final in Berlin.” Christian OssigChief Executive of the Banking Association.
