The Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards is a photography contest that began in 2015. Its founders, Paul Joynson-Hicks MBE and Tom Sullam, started out as a joke but has already grown into a world-renowned competition viewed by millions of people each year.
With the goal of highlighting wildlife conservation, the competition is open to wildlife photography experts and novices, to celebrate the hilarity of the natural world that must be protected.
The finalists of this 2021 were announced and include from a seal or a laughing snake, impressive dance movements, to various situations with birds. Each one has a particular name related to the portrait, whose detail you can see here.

This is life! “This baby gray seal seems to be laughing. I loved the expression it captured. It looks so human. This baby seal came ashore to get some rest and ended up sleeping on a rock for hours before the tide forced him to move. Inland. Occasionally, he would stretch and yawn. One of the yawns led to this expression. He looked like he was laughing. ” Photo: Martina Novotna / Comedy Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2021
