In the final of the 52nd year of the Slovak Football Cup – Slovnaft Cup 2020/2021, the home team of MŠK Žilina will be on May 19 at 6 pm. Shoshoni “will play against the defender of Slovan Bratislava at the Bratislava NFŠ on the brick field.
“This was decided by today’s draw, which took place on the premises of SFZ. Therefore, the home team will have the right to choose the color of jerseys and guests will have the right to choose the first pre-match training,” Miroslav Richtárik, head of SFZ competition management, told the SFZ website.
The final will take place without the presence of spectators. In case of a tie in regular time, the match is extended by 2×15 min. If he does not decide even in the set-up (the whole overtime is played), the winner will be determined by an eleven shot.
In this year’s Slovnaft Cup SFZ will not announce the best team from the regional football associations. In the last season’s edition, it was OFK Dunajská Lužná and OFK Malženice, which collected 1,500 euros each.
“During this year, 17 meetings were canceled due to epidemiological reasons related to the spread of coronavirus. 14 teams from RFZ were drawn into them, which paid for the situation by eliminating them from the current year of the cup.
Therefore, it was not possible to determine the best amateur team from the sports side. These clubs will be included in the relevant round in the next year’s cup, if they apply. “ said Richtárik.
