The final shortlist for FIFA’s men’s player of the year has been announced. Argentina superstar Lionel Messi, France’s Kylian Mbappe and Manchester City’s Norwegian superstar Erling Holland are in the final list.
The award winner will be announced at a ceremony on January 15. The award will be given considering the performance during the period from December 12, 2022 to August 20, 2023. Three people were selected for the final list from 12 people.
Apart from the trio, Julian Alvarez, Kevin De Bruyne, Bernardo Silva, Rodri, Marcelo Brosovic, Ilkay Gundogan, Victor Osimhan, Declan Rice and Kwicha Kvaretskelia were on the first list. Current European Footballer of the Year Aitana Bonmati, Salma Parallelo and Lauren James are more likely to make the shortlist for Best Female Player.
