With 130 votes in favor, the deputies accepted the proposal to postpone the increase of pensions for Christmas, and until the end of the year for all pensioners to receive a supplement of BGN 120 per month. The MPs also approved the proposal for maternity leave in the second year to be BGN 650. The update of the budget of the State Social Security took place after several hours of debates in the plenary hall.

Thus, on December 25, the recalculation of pensions with the length of service coefficient of 1.35 will begin. From Christmas, the minimum pension will be raised to BGN 370, and the ceiling – BGN 1,500.
