The Ministry of Transport published pictures of the Al-Buhy metro station, which is part of the opening of the third phase of the third line of the metro, which starts from the Kit Kat area and passes through Al-Sudan Street and the areas of Imbaba, Al-Buhy, Al-Qawmia and the Ring Road until it ends at the intersection with the Rawd Al-Farag axis. This stage is scheduled to make a major breakthrough in the passing areas. and serve millions of citizens.
The route of the third phase of the project extends for a length of 17.7 km and includes 15 stations, from Ataba Station to Kit Kat Square, to branch north to Imbaba and reach the Ring Road, and branch south to Mohandessin and Boulaq El Dakrour, passing through Wadi El Nile Street and League of Arab States, and then extending to Cairo University.
This phase is being implemented in three parts, the first part with a length of 4 km, extending from Attaba to Kitkat and includes (4) tunnel stations, which are “Nasser – Maspero – Safa Hegazy – Kit Kat”, which is the part that was operated in front of passenger traffic in October the past
The second part extends for a length of 6.6 km from the Kit Kat station to the final station at the Rawd Al-Farag axis and includes 6 stations. [محطة نفقية ( السودان ) وعـدد4 محطات علوية ( إمبابة – البوهي – القومية العربية – الطريق الدائري) ومحطة سطحية ( المحطة النهائية عند محور روض الفرج ).
أما الجزء الثالث، فيمتد بطـول 7.1 كم من محطة الكيت كات حتى جامعة القاهـرة وتشمل 5 محطـات [3 محطـات نفقيـة (التوفيقية – وادي النيل – جامعة الـدول) ومحطـة علويـة (جامعـة القـاهـرة) ومحطـة سطحية (بولاق الدكرور).
