A story of “sky” and “sea” spun through two DLCs
The DLC will be distributed in two parts, the first and second part. Both are DLCs that can be played before challenging “Origin”, the last stage of the main story, and the content is such that you can enjoy the derivative story that occurs just before the story is cleared, rather than after the main story is cleared.
In the DLC, you will experience a new story with the main character Clive, as well as Jill and Joshua. Therefore, it is mandatory to clear the side quests related to Jill and Joshua in order to play (details on release conditions will be explained later).
The first game, “Reverberations of the Sky,” features a new stage that you can play, and the play time is approximately 3 hours. On the other hand, the second installment, “Wail of the Sea”, adds new fields and many subquests. There are new summoned beast battles, and even more challenging Clive battles, making it possible to play for over 10 hours.
In the first installment, I had the impression that I could easily enjoy the additional episodes of Clive’s story. In terms of volume, it has one additional stage (dungeon) from the main story. However, there are new accessories and battles added, so those who are into it will have more fun.
Additionally, if you purchase the first DLC, Echoes of the Sky, the level cap will be raised to level 55 for Story Focus & Action Focus, and level 105 for Final Fantasy Challenge. In the DLC, enemies with great power await. If you are having a hard time, it would be a good idea to train Clive enough before trying.

Clive hears that “Dusk Crystal”, an inferior crystal that breaks immediately after use, is on the black market. In order to find out the source, Ikko heads to Port Isolde, where the transaction is taking place.
Formidable enemies await at the Sage’s Tower
The Sage’s Tower has the same structure as a so-called stage, and you will aim for the deepest part while facing ancient monsters and magical weapons that block your way.
Along the way, various types of enemies will appear, including humanoid magic weapons, Ahriman-like monsters embedded with crystals, and ancient beastmen. The boss rush structure is like an all-star battle of bosses, and all of the characters that appear are formidable enemies. The stage is a stage where you can enjoy challenging battles, so even those who have cleared the main story will be satisfied with the level of difficulty.
Waiting at the deepest part of the Sage’s Tower is “FF“Omega” is a familiar enemy from the series. He corners Clive and the others with agile movements that are unimaginable for his gigantic size.
Leviathan appears in the second DLC “Wail of the Sea”
The second DLC, “Wail of the Sea”, is scheduled to be released in spring 2024.
