Final Fantasy VII Remake will never come to Xbox due to Sony, says Microsoft

We are about to wrap up the year and will continue to talk about it the dispute between Microsoft and Sony. You already know what the reason is: the acquisition of Activision Blizzard by those in Redmond, who propose to take over the huge conglomerate of studies and sagas for a figure close to 70,000 million dollars. The original announcement was the big news of the year, and there was a rare day in recent months that we don’t know about new details on the operation.

As you well know, Sony (PlayStation) has at all times shown its refusal for the purchase to take place, since franchises like Call of Duty could significantly affect your annual income, and therefore your future. In the midst of a battle with several organizations involved (CMA, FTC…), both companies showed up arguments to defendalthough at times it seemed that this was an attack on his rival, and the last one will not leave anyone indifferent.

Sony has blocked Final Fantasy VII Remake on Xbox, according to Microsoft

The remake of the seventh installment of the Square Enix saga debuted exclusively for PS4, along with a poster that referred to a temporary exclusive period. At the time, several doubts remained in the air: what other platforms would it reach? when and under what conditions? The game ended up arriving on PC, but at the time of writing these lines, the possibility of it coming out on Xbox consoles has not been contemplated, and that next March will be 3 years since its launch.

As part of the report sent to the CMA, Microsoft accuses the Japanese company of pretending the exclusion of several games that will not come to Xbox, and one of them is Final Fantasy VII Remake, probably the most famous case of all if we take into account that Xbox has many other games in the franchise. By the way, he also mentions others such as Bloodborne and the future Final Fantasy XVI and Silent Hill 2 Remake, both console exclusives on PS5.
