Naoki ‘Yoshi-P’ Yoshida, one of the current main producers of the Final Fantasy series, has spoken a little more about the possibilities for a remake of Final Fantasy 9 and an Xbox Series version of Final Fantasy 16.
He did that in one met interview with VideoGames. Starting with the last game, Yoshi-P left no doubt that he wants to see Final Fantasy 16 released on Xbox. “We have announced the PC version, so of course we also want to release the game on Xbox. But we cannot share anything about when the game can be released.”
He emphasized: “I want to make it clear that there is hope, and we want to make it happen. So players should not lose hope.” So it looks like FF16 will finally come to Xbox, although the game has not yet been officially announced for the platform. The PS5 RPG is now available on PC.
Yoshida also talked about the possibility of a Final Fantasy 9 remake. “I know a lot of people want this, but it’s a big game. I wonder if it could be in one game. It’s a tough game.” Yoshi-P says that he would personally like to see a remake of Final Fantasy 3.
