A new trailer for Final Fantasy 16 is ready to be shown, and according to Naoki Yoshida, the game’s producer, it will be released soon.
Yoshida made that statement in a special livestream which was dominated by a crossover between NieR: Reincarnation and Final Fantasy 14. According to the producer, the trailer has been ready for some time, but publication was postponed due to ‘certain factors’. He did not say which factors these are exactly.

Yoshida did talk about the development process of Final Fantasy 16. He said that a lot of time was spent polishing the game and detecting bugs. In addition, the game is as good as finished, Yoshida reports.
The statements during the livestream are completely consistent with a update Yoshida gave last week on Final Fantasy 16. He told Japanese magazine Uniqlo that the game has entered its final stages of development. “We want people who have grown up, work, don’t find real life as easy as a game and have lost sight of Final Fantasy, find their passion again. We make the game with that intention,” Yoshida said of the game’s story at the time.
A release date for Final Fantasy 16 has not yet been announced. The RPG has been announced for PlayStation 5.
