The Villa Albertine announces the return of Films on the Green, the free festival of films screened in French and outdoors in nine different parks in Manhattan and Brooklyn from June 3 to September 9, 2022. This year’s theme, “From the page on screen”, highlights 12 films to (re)watch.
Films on the Green returns to New York
It is a partnership between the Villa Albertine – a new kind of cultural institution launched by the French government in the fall of 2021 –, Face Foundation and NYC Parks. Films on the Green’s 2022 lineup features contemporary and classic films in French adapted from a wide range of international literature. On the bill, The things of life by Claude Sautet, Touchez pas au grisby by Jacques Becker, The delicacy by David Foenkinos and Stéphane Foenkinos or even Between the walls by Laurent Cantet. The list is long with nine films to see and rewatch.
