Filmmaker Roland Steffen was absorbed in the portrait film about Christian Bolt for a long time and yet the enthusiastic reactions from the audience show that every second of the effort was worth it. According to him, the hour-long film documents the extraordinary relationship of a Swiss sculptor to Italian high culture. “Bolt’s independent reflection and development of his artistic language, his historical appointment as a professor in Florence and his life far away from the mainstream art world offer an exciting source of information.” The film can be viewed in a German version with English subtitles on YouTube.
