In the past days, the creative team of “Zeme kas dīd” was present in the streets of Old Riga, filming scenes from historical Riga, as well as in Jaunsātu parish, where scenes from the countryside were shot.

The last day of filming will be on May 14, when the largest mass viewings will take place in the cinema town “Cinevilla” during the shooting of the film – to depict the opening of the first Latvian singing festival in the hall of the Latvian Society of Riga, about 500 mass viewing participants will gather on the filming site.

After the shooting of this symbolic scene, the preparation of the film will move into the editing and post-production phase, so that the film about the First Latvian Singing Festival will hit the cinema screens already this November.
