In the summer of 2023, during fifty days of filming, the characters and events of the novel “Pansija pili” were brought to life in the Padure manor near Kuldīga.
The multi-episode film will consist of seven acting cinema series directed by Andis Mizišs, Marta Elīna Martinsone and Dāvis Sīmanis. The audience will have the opportunity to trace the events of one summer, in which the future writer Anšlavs Eglītis, together with his brother Vidvud, father Viktor and his spouse Hilda Vīkas, begins the restoration of the manor, at the same time opening a boarding house, which becomes the intersection of relations between the residents of the area, ghosts of the past, city guests and the Latvian intelligentsia and the scene of one summer in the 20s of the 20th century in Latvia.
