Filmin renews its content agreement with Sony Pictures Entertainment

The new agreement, which will take effect on July 1, will allow you to add up to 50 new Sony titles to the OTT.

OTT Filmin and Sony Pictures Entertainment studio announced this week the renewal of their content agreement. The new alliance will allow up to 50 new titles to be added to the OTT from July 1.


As detailed, the OTT will add classics as well as Lawrence of Arabia, The Man Who Could Reign Y Encounters in the third phase.

Works by geniuses such as Martin Scorsese (Taxi Driver), Brian de Palma (Double Body, Hearts of Iron), John Carpenter (Christine), Paul Thomas Anderson (Punchdrunk Love) or David Fincher (Panic room).

Also classics like The law of silence (Elia Kazan), The canyons of Navarone (J. Lee Thompson) Fr. Only Angels Have Wings (Howard Hawks); great commercial successes like The Fox with Antonio Banderas and Robin Hood with Kevin Costner; and iconic 80’s movies like Count on me Y Reunionas well as memorable performances by some of the most talented actors of our time: Sean Connery (Discovering Forrester), Bill Murray (Razor’s edge), Ed Harris (Pollock) or Denzel Washington (Glory times).

To this list we must add three masterpieces of animation: Tokyo Godfathers (Satoshi Kon), Steamboy (from the creator of Akira) and the controversial Heavy Metal.

The films will be available in High Definition in Spanish and in the original version with subtitles, only for Filmin subscribers.

The addition of these titles, which also extends to Filmin Portugal, will be added to the collections already available at Filmin from the major Universal, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, StudioCanal and Lionsgate studios.
