Film Symphony Orchestra. Fénix | Tourismus Madrid

As part of his new tour Phoenix guest that Film Symphony Orchestra on October 10th and 14th in the symphony hall of National Music Auditorium with a fascinating show all about the most beautiful melodies from films and current series.

The most iconic soundtracks and songs from series such as The Mandalorian or Bridgerton and blockbusters like Beauty and the Beast or Gladiator. Not to mention great classics like West Side Story or Life is Beautiful, to name just a few.

The orchestra, founded by Constantino Martínez-Orts in 2011, consists of more than 80 musicians and only gives concerts with film music or music by composers closely associated with the cinema world. With the theme of film as the central thread, it aims to give a young audience access to symphonic music.

And with success, because young people attend the performances of the orchestra to hear the soundtracks of their favorite films. Often one even meets visitors who are disguised as characters from the musical series or films.

Composer and conductor Constantino Martínez-Orts was born in Valencia in 1977. He has conducted the BBC Concert Orchestra (Great Britain), the Chamber Orchestra Craiova Visrtuosi (Romania), the Filarmonica “Oltenia” Craiova (Romania) and the Sofia Festival Orchestra (Bulgaria). He teaches at the Berklee College of Music in its Valencia location and released 5 albums on the subject of film music.
