Film series on the GDR and the Stasi in the former Stasi headquarters
The former Stasi headquarters will start a series of film screenings on the history of the GDR with a film screening. On Monday, “In a country that no longer exists” made the start, as the website said. The inner courtyard of the headquarters on Normannenstraße will be turned into an open-air cinema until August 31st. The films were all produced after 1989 and would address repression, revolution or reappraisal. The films are accompanied by a supporting program of exhibitions and guided tours. In addition, a total of three children’s films on the subject complex will be shown.
