Potsdam (dpa / bb) – The winners of the Brandenburg Children’s Day film competition have been determined. Class 3a of the Zepernick elementary school, class 5a of the Emil-Fischer-Gymnasium Schwarzheide and class 6a of the elementary school am Blumenhag Bernau can each shoot a strip in the Filmpark Babelsberg under professional guidance at the beginning of May, as the State Chancellery announced on Monday.
On June 1, the works will have their world premiere at the film festival and a “film dinner” with Prime Minister Dietmar Woidke and Minister of Education Britta Ernst (both SPD). A total of 51 entries were submitted in the competition under the slogan “We stick together – despite Corona”. A jury selected the three winning films.
Due to the corona pandemic, the traditional children’s day festival in the State Chancellery with 100 children could not be planned as usual, as Woidke said. That is why a film competition was announced this year. All films are different, but with a clear message, stressed Minister Ernst. The children stuck together despite Corona. She was impressed by the creativity, the wealth of ideas and the fun that the films conveyed.
