14 films have been nominated for this year’s Filmkunstpreis, including “And who takes the dog?” By Rainer Kaufmann. The film show in Ludwigshafen is the most popular German film festival after the Berlinale and is known far beyond the Rhine-Neckar region due to its location.
East-West thriller “Wendezeit” at the beginning
The festival was opened with the east-west thriller “Wendezeit” to mark the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. Petra Schmidt-Schaller plays the double agent Saskia Starke.
