In 2016, film director Hideo Sakaki welcomed an aspiring actress into his home in Tokyo. He had met her at a workshop where he taught acting classes.
“Let’s talk more about acting,” he had proposed to persuade her to come to his house.
“If you’re going to be in a movie, there are times when you have to be naked. Try to get naked,” she told him, according to the News on Japan site.
I wanted to “check” if he had tattoos.
The woman believed that Sasaki would get her a part in a movie, but she never appeared in one.
In 2023 he reported it to the police and this week he was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault, a charge he denies.
The filmmaker has a history of sexual abuse, Kyodo reveals.
In 2022, Shukan Bunshun magazine reported that Sakaki was suspected of forcing several actresses to perform sexual acts.
Due to the report, the premiere of her film “Honeymoon,” which deals with domestic sexual violence, was canceled. (International Press)
