The film foundation-funded production “Woodwalkers“ von Damian John Harper celebrates on Sunday, October 13th, in the presence of the book author Katja Brandisthe actors Emile Cherif, Lilli Falk, Johan von Ehrlich, Sophie Lelentathe director and the film team premiere in the Cinedom Cologne. Wrote the script David Sandreuter based on the bestselling novel series of the same name by Katja Brandis. Also in front of the camera were: Oliver Masucci, Martina Gedeck and Hannah Herzsprung. The film opens in cinemas on October 24th.

At first glance, Carag looks like a normal boy, but behind his glowing eyes lies an incredible secret: Carag is a shapeshifter. He grew up in the wild as a mountain lion and now lives in the human world in his cub form. It’s only when Carag is accepted into Clearwater High, a secret boarding school for Woodwalkers like him, that he feels a sense of home. He quickly finds friends in Holly, a cheeky red squirrel, and Brandon, a shy bison. And Carag can really use that – because the world of the Woodwalkers is full of puzzles and dangers…
The fantasy film was made by blue eyes Fiction in co-production with Studiocanal, Dor Film Vienna and Film fun in South Tyrol produced. The Film and Media Foundation NRW supported the production with 600,000 euros. Studiocanal brings the film to German cinemas.
