The film foundation-supported production “The School of Magical Animals 3“ von Sven Unterwaldt will premiere on Sunday, September 15, in the presence of the actors and producers at the Lichtburg Essen. The screenplay was written by Thorsten Näter based on the novel series of the same name by Margaret Auer. The main roles are played by Emilia Maier, Loris Sichrovsky, Luis Vorbach and Emilia Pieske. The film will be released in cinemas on September 26th.

To the film:
Ida wants to perform with her class at the annual forest day to campaign for the protection of the local forest. Even Helene is there, as she hopes to use the recordings of the performance to build up her influencer channel. What nobody knows: Helene’s family is on the verge of bankruptcy and Helene urgently needs followers to avert the impending bankruptcy. In addition, Helene is put under pressure by the high demands of her magical animal, Karajan the cat from Paris, who imagines a life of pure luxury. Silas, Jo’s best friend, also gets a magical companion: he is given the vegan crocodile Rick, who looks scary but is secretly afraid of not being able to keep up with the tough-looking Silas. Silas has his eye on Helene and thinks that the only way he has a chance with her is with a designer shirt. In order to get money for this, he blackmails younger students, but is caught by Jo and confronted. Jo is already angry because Silas didn’t attend the rehearsals for the forest day and Silas is jealous that Jo spends so much time with Ida. And then Helene causes additional conflict: When she finds out that her icon’s fashion show is to take place in the Natural History Museum, she persuades the museum director to let the class perform there as a show act. But the fashion show happens to take place on the same day as Ida’s forest day…

The children’s film was made by Leonine Studios, Kordes & Kordes Film and Lightburst Pictures produced. The Film and Media Foundation NRW supported the production of the third part with 400,000 euros. The first part and the announced fourth part are also funded by the Film Foundation. Leonine Studios brings the film to cinemas.
