The film ‘Filles de joie’ by Frédéric Fonteyne and Anne Paulicevich has been selected by a jury as the Belgian entry for the Oscars. Wallonie Bruxelles Images announced this in a press release on Tuesday.

The French-language drama film was selected as Oscar candidate by a national jury, which includes members of both the Flemish and French communities. On March 15 it should become clear whether the film has been shortlisted at the Academy Awards for ‘Best Foreign Language Film’.
‘Filles de joie’ by Frédéric Fonteyne and Anne Paulicevich tells the story of three women who lead a double life in the sex industry. Sara Forestier, Noémie Lvovsky and Annabelle Lengronne star in the lead roles.
