KAIRO – Using seismic tomography
technology, archaeologists discover secret chambers below
Sphinx statue, Egypt. The space of 100 square meters is estimated to contain treasures or ancient libraries.
The discovery of the secret chamber was the result of sophisticated scanning carried out by Egyptologist Dr Manu Seyfzadeh and his team on the Sphinx statue. There are several empty spaces, one of which is thought to contain treasure is the 12×9 meter space just below the statue.
“So they found several areas that could be empty spaces. One of those empty spaces we believe is the most likely candidate for the Hall of Records (ancient library),” Seyfzadeh was quoted as saying. Express, Monday (12/27/2021).

It was first introduced by American astrologer Edgar Cayce, but no physical evidence has ever been found. “It starts here, extends forward about 12 meters and nine meters to the side,” he said, pointing to the bottom of the Sphinx.
Seyfzadeh estimates, most likely the room is now filled with water. While its contents have been looted by treasure hunters.
Meanwhile, Egyptologist and former Minister of State for Antiquities Dr Zahi Hawass denied there was a hidden city under the Sphinx. Hawass said he had previously confirmed the existence of three tunnels under the Sphinx.
