The body found by firefighters not far from Barcis, in the province of Pordenone, belongs to Giulia Cecchettin. The discovery dates back to 12pm today: in recent days the searches had intensified in that area because according to the reconstruction made thanks to the cells connected to the ex-boyfriend’s mobile phone there was a two-hour time hole.
The body of Giulia Cecchettin, recovered on the shores of Lake Barcis, according to LaPresse, had the same clothes that the 22-year-old was wearing at the time of her disappearance. The prosecutor’s office and the carabinieri will soon receive the results of the tests on the bloodstains found on the pavement of the local road in the industrial area in Fossò, in the province of Venice, 6 kilometers away from Vigonovo. Tissue and blood samples will be taken from the recovered body to extract the genetic profile and compare it with that of Giulia’s family members. And the same news agency collected the reaction of Giovanni, her cousin, after the confirmation of her death: “There is nothing more to say, Filippo killed my cousin. I hope they find that coward, if he hasn’t already killed himself too.”
