Filippa K Creative Director Draws Inspiration from 90s Office Scenes for Stunning Autumn/Winter Series

Filippa K Creative Director Liisa Kessler drew design inspiration from the photo album “Office”, which contains office scenes captured by the famous Swedish photographer Lars Tunbjörk in New York, Tokyo and Stockholm in the 1990s, using unique shooting techniques and lens aesthetic focus Space design in the 1980s and lifestyle in the 1990s. This autumn and winter series also pays tribute to the aesthetic evolution between the 1980s and 1990s, and is committed to exploring the finishing touches in daily office life. “I have been thinking about how to inject spirit and energy into the seemingly restrictive workplace environment of people wearing Filippa K,” said Kessler. “In this series, I hope to make Filippa K light, comfortable and effortless. The fashion and other brand characteristics are integrated into the design. For me, it is a continuous exploration of a sense of freedom from beginning to end.”

Mix and match textures with classic offices for inspiration this season. Such as the plush texture of carpets, workstation partitions, business stripes, and ultra-glossy fabrics that are reminiscent of neon buildings that stay lit all night. Inspired by photography techniques, different shades of burgundy and brown are used as monochromatic silhouettes, reflecting the multi-layered undercurrent.

Suit design is the core of this autumn and winter series. The soft and slim shoulder design perfectly presents the classic silhouette of the late 1980s while also being free and comfortable to wear – this is another symbol of the Filippa K brand. The shirt design adopts a classic business stripe pattern, highlighting the brand’s characteristics of firmness and gentleness. In addition to continuing the rib structure of soft and fluffy knitting and two-color blending, this knitted fabric also specially introduces a fiber traceability initiative in cooperation with the sustainable non-profit organization Axfoundation. The wearer can track the clothing from the farm to the finished product by scanning the QR code. process.

This autumn and winter series also continues the brand’s classic style through denim and knitted series. Wide-leg jeans with marble wash technology and loose-cut low-waisted skirts interpret the classic 80s retro style, while versatile sweaters draw inspiration from the classic POLO shirts of the 90s. The satin skirt captures the brand’s unique sensibility and is paired with a delicate merino wool top for a casual and intimate feel. Men’s clothing continues the silhouette design, with classic double-breasted buttons to show its extraordinary charm.

This autumn and winter series adds interesting design concepts to shoes and accessories, adding vitality to autumn and winter outfits. The new 93 Monogram handbag draws inspiration from the detailed design of the classic briefcase. This time, women’s shoes include matte printed loafers, high boots, Mary Jane high heels and patent leather sandals, bringing together the unique styles of accessories.

The Filippa K 2024 autumn and winter series will be previewed offline at Paris Fashion Week and Copenhagen Fashion Week this month, so stay tuned.
