The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that easterlies, winds from the east that bring warm and humid weather, and localized thunderstorms will cause overcast skies and isolated rain showers in Metro Manila and the rest of the country. However, Pagasa also spotted a low pressure area (LPA) that may enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility by Sunday, although the weather disturbance has a slim chance of directly affecting the country. Meanwhile, the ridge or extension of the high pressure area (HPA) is affecting Northern Luzon over the next 24 hours, indicating an area where atmospheric pressure is higher than its surroundings and clouds are usually suppressed, leading to less chance of rain.
