Janusz Filipiak was not particularly pleased with the course and circumstances of Kraków’s Derby, in which Cracovia drew a goalless with Wisła Kraków.
After the game, the president and owner of Cracovia visited the team in the dressing room to – playfully, because jokingly – draw the attention of Yevhen Konoplan, who wasted convenient situations to guarantee the Belts a victory in one of the most prestigious matches of the season.
– After the game, the president came to us and said that I was playing poorly and why didn’t I score? Your name is Konoplanka! I had to explain myself – laughed once a great Ukrainian footballer, quoted by Interia.
Some controversies were also raised by the decisions of Jacek Zieliński, who appointed as many as nine foreigners and only two Poles to play in the top eleven – Kamil Pestka and the youth player Jakub Myszor.
– The fact that we are talking to professor Filipiak about Polishing the team and introducing more Poles from the new season is another matter. At the moment, as a coach, after a week of observation, I chose the best “eleven” and I think that these boys did not disappoint – the skipper of Cracovia explained after the match.
