Maria Tyszkiewicz is still in the lead after the seventh episode, scoring 142 points. Filip Lato had only three points less. The potential final four were rounded out by Mateusz Ziółko (135 points) and Katarzyna Skrzynecka (131 points). However, the differences in scores were really small and everything could still change.
Prince of pop
Who’s first on stage? Basia Kurdej-Szatan as Justin Timberlake. – It’s terribly difficult. A combination of vocals and dance, but his dance is so precise. I have a different movement for each word – said the participant who presented the concert version of “My Love”. – Igor, who choreographed my choreography, said it was every dancer’s dream – added the actress, and then disappeared into the elevator. How did she ultimately fare as the prince of pop? – Great, you nailed it very well. And those movements, that look of yours – praised Małgorzata Walewska. – I was waiting for you to get some sleep. You didn’t fall out – Piotr Gąsowski echoed her. – A masterpiece – concluded Robert Janowski.
A repeat of the debut
The first metamorphosis for Filip Lato in the program “Twój Twarz Głos Znajomo” in his spring 2018 season was James Blunt and the song “You’re Beautiful”. As part of the time machine action, the participant reached for the piece again. This time it was a concert reference. – There is an audience that is hot, and I have to remain so introverted, thoughtful – the singer was afraid of certain aspects of the performance. Is it right? – He rocked it – said Małgorzata Walewska after the first few seconds of the show. – I was a bit sorry that you wouldn’t undress when I saw the reference, but what I saw here unfortunately outweighed your striptease – the juror joked afterward. -You sounded like James Blunt. Your best performance. Fit for the finale – summed up Robert Janowski.
Unmistakable vocals?
It’s time for the Polish stage, i.e. Kacper Kuszewski and his role as Tatiana Okupnik. His assignment is the single “You May Be in Love” from the Blue Café repertoire. – I know there is such a band, but I didn’t know this song before – admitted the participant in a conversation with Maciej Dowbor. The vocal intricacies of this character? – He has such a dark, low voice, despite all this specific timbre – explained the actor. To what extent did you get closer to the original artist? The person concerned herself said this! – Kacper, the content of frog in the frog is one hundred percent. Let me tell you, it’s surprising that you’ve mastered this entire long routine, the star complimented. What do the jurors say? – A great performance, right to the point – said Piotr Gąsowski. – You play women wonderfully – noted Małgorzata Walewska.
Eurovision winner from Portugal
Salvador Sobral won the Eurovision Song Contest with the song “Amar pelos dois” in 2017. Stefano Terrazzino has just faced this hit. – He sang it so emotionally that it became very universal. He convinced the whole of Europe – said the participant. – This is a jazz ballad, there are no typical melodic transitions. He sings as if he were painting, his voice changes constantly, it’s difficult – continued the dancer. These are the effects of turning an Italian into a Portuguese! – It was magical, so beautiful – gushed Małgorzata Walewska. – He found his match. I think, Stefano, that you are so sensitive to beauty, you are easily moved. You could have messed it up, easily redrawn it. A matter of maturity. You conducted it nicely, in the sense of focus, concentration and message – said Robert Janowski.
Friends on and off stage
– The mere fact that I can invite a man who I really treat as a friend is great. I’m terribly happy – said Aleksandra Szwed, who performed in a duet with Jurek Grzechnik. They performed the song “Cose Della Vita (Can’t Stop Thinking Of You)”, originally by Tina Turner and Eros Ramazzotti. – It’s a very big responsibility, but on the other hand I’m really looking forward to this performance – commented the special guest. Maciej Dowbor did not stop them any longer. The couple went to the elevator, and then… Here are the judges’ scores! – My cheeks are sore from laughing. A wonderful performance – complimented Robert Janowski. – It was all clean, with sound, for a smile. I have nothing to complain about – Piotr Gąsowski had a similar opinion. – For me, there weren’t enough of her characteristic moves, but you could see the chemistry between you – Małgorzata Walewska pointed out.
A new generation revelation
Mateusz Ziółko recalled the character of Teddy Swims. The artist gained popularity by posting his covers on YouTube. He launched the hit “Lose Control” in 2023. – He’s such a guy, sometimes he sings his songs during breaks – the participant joked during training with Agnieszka Hekiert. – Apart from these decorations, its color is brushed like an angry squirrel – the vocal teacher laughed. The reference for this performance was the original music video. So how was it? – I’m delighted. I want to sing, I want to live. What I saw were the Himalayas, the highlands, the world championship – Robert Janowski did not hide his positive reception of the show. – I will pay attention to your truth. You have something so important to say when you come in, before you start singing. And then you don’t ruin it – noted Piotr Gąsowski.
It’s never been this rough before
What’s next? A total change of atmosphere, thanks to Katarzyna Skrzynecka, who reminded us of the legend of heavy metal. The participant transformed into the leader of Deep Purple. Ian Gillian is known, among others, for the song “Perfect Strangers” from 1984. – A male voice that sings very high and very sharply. Unfortunately, it’s easy to fall into a high feminine voice there – said the actress during training. How did “The Best” find such a strong style? – I’m starting to run out of mistakes, I’m serious. A juror feeds on mistakes – Piotr Gąsowski laughed. – You created a character that is wonderful according to your abilities, but if you sang it an octave higher, it would have a power that couldn’t be there because you had to be a guy – said Małgorzata Walewska.
An impossible challenge, but still!
Finally, “Burlesque”, i.e. Maria Tyszkiewicz and Christina Aguilera from the film musical. The participant noticed the vocal talent of the star, who loves decorations and various surprises in color. -She’s a diva. The song “Tough Lover” is a combination of all this at once, she said. – Killer and vocal and fitness. This is hardcore for me, admitted the star. Was it really that difficult? – You undoubtedly have great musical talent. You have a difficult choice ahead of you, you can be whoever you want. All scenes are for you – praised Robert Janowski. – It’s incredible what you are doing to us here. There are already five ‘dozens’ here – joked Małgorzata Walewska.
Voting and results
This choice was not the easiest one. The jurors’ votes made Mateusz Ziółko the best. The participants distributed their notes and ultimately the eighth episode was won by Filip Lato. He donated a check worth PLN 10,000 to a person under the care of the Siepomaga Foundation.
