The Queen’s funeral will take place next Monday at 12:00 GMT at Westminster Abbey. 2,000 guests are expected, including many kings and presidents. There are strict rules for VIP guests. He is asked to land on English soil on a commercial flight if possible. This is a problem for King Philip, who can fly the Belgian government plane only for holidays. He will still be able to use it, but he may have to move to a more distant and less busy airport.

Filip and Mathilde are one of the first international guests whose presence is known. The White House has since announced that US President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden will attend the funeral. The Dutch royal family has announced that King William Alexander and Queen Máxima will come to London. They are accompanied by the former Queen Beatrix. Spain is represented by King Felipe and Queen Letizia. And there will also be the Japanese emperor Naruhito. Other royal houses have yet to announce details.
